Setting Ideas - Introduction

While I'm still working on the document detailing my setting's specifics, I'll just be bouncing ideas off you poor saps in the hopes you might help me mold this work into something we can all enjoy.

On my desktop, I have a folder that holds a bunch of pictures I'm using for my inspiration. Most of them are from photo sites; I've pilfered a fuckton of "nature" pictures from places like flickr and such. Anyway, for some of these "Setting Ideas" posts, I'll just put one of these pics I've saved from those people nice enough to put it on the net.

Since this is the inaugural post, I'll just put up one that helped me define the way Caldera's valleys and mountainsides look like.



Obviously there's more to the continent than that, but still. Pretty, isn't it?
